A Heat road game in Memphis puts Grails Miami in the middle of it, with the FedExForum broadcast running across the screens in Wynwood. Miami travels to the Southwest for a midweek Eastern Conference versus Western Conference date, and the room turns over to basketball for the night. South Florida fans who are not making the trip get the next best thing, a packed sports bar, a projector wall and one of the largest covered patios in the neighborhood.

Heat against Grizzlies is a meeting of two franchises that built their identities on defense and toughness rather than glamour. Miami has spent decades selling Heat Culture as a standard, and Memphis made its national reputation in the grit and grind years, when FedExForum was one of the loudest buildings in the league. Cross-conference games in December do not settle seeding on their own, but they shape the tiebreakers and the road record that matter in April. Spacious. Vibrant. Pure Miami. The covered Miami Vice patio seats up to 120 across multiple table configurations and has its own patio bar, with TVs angled for visibility from every seat. The Yard sits adjacent under a giant tent with a projector screen for the major game. Hookah service runs all evening on the patio.

The color palette pulls straight from Miami Vice: pinks, teals, neon accents. The patio walls flow with rotating mural work that fits Wynwood’s art-district vibe.

Yes, you really do drink it from a Jordan-inspired sneaker. The Grails sneaker cocktail is our most-photographed creation, equal parts conversation piece and craft cocktail. It’s been featured in local press, racked up millions of Instagram impressions, and is now a Wynwood rite of passage.

Rails Sports Bar was the highlight of our whole trip to Miami. Great atmosphere, plenty of screens, and the kind of energy you want from a sports bar. We had such a great experience, and a huge part of that was our server, Austin! He was genuinely one of the best servers I’ve had in a long time. He was incredibly attentive super kind, personable, and so easy to talk to. He checked in at all the right times, made sure we had everything we needed, and just had such a great energy throughout the entire experience. It’s rare to have a server who makes you feel like they actually care that you’re having a good time, and Austin absolutely did. He made us feel so welcome and turned an already fun outing into an even better one. Truly 12/10 service. I’ll absolutely be back — especially to watch sports — and will definitely be asking for Austin again!
