Knicks at Nets is the Battle of the Boroughs, a New York rivalry one subway ride apart. Grails Miami has it on the screens Monday night for South Florida transplants who grew up picking a side of the East River. The Knicks bring decades of Madison Square Garden history into Barclays Center, home of the Nets since leaving New Jersey in 2012.

Both franchises play in the Atlantic Division of the Eastern Conference, so this divisional game carries tiebreaker weight. When the Knicks visit Brooklyn the arena often splits, orange and blue scattered through the home crowd. The move from New Jersey turned a regional matchup into a crosstown one, and an early February Monday gives it a midseason edge.

Spacious. Vibrant. Pure Miami. The covered Miami Vice patio seats up to 120 across multiple table configurations and has its own patio bar, with TVs angled for visibility from every seat. The Yard sits adjacent under a giant tent with a projector screen for the major game. Hookah service runs all evening on the patio.

The color palette pulls straight from Miami Vice: pinks, teals, neon accents. The patio walls flow with rotating mural work that fits Wynwood’s art-district vibe.

Yes, you really do drink it from a Jordan-inspired sneaker. The Grails sneaker cocktail is our most-photographed creation, equal parts conversation piece and craft cocktail. It’s been featured in local press, racked up millions of Instagram impressions, and is now a Wynwood rite of passage.

Rails Sports Bar was the highlight of our whole trip to Miami. Great atmosphere, plenty of screens, and the kind of energy you want from a sports bar. He was incredibly attentive super kind, personable, and so easy to talk to. He checked in at all the right times, made sure we had everything we needed, and just had such a great energy throughout the entire experience. It’s rare to have a server who makes you feel like they actually care that you’re having a good time, and Austin absolutely did. He made us feel so welcome and turned an already fun outing into an even better one. Truly 12/10 service. I’ll absolutely be back — especially to watch sports — and will definitely be asking for Austin again!
