Big 12 football closes its regular season the way it always does, spread across four time zones, and Grails Miami has the late window from Salt Lake City on the main screen. Utah and West Virginia are two programs that arrived in this conference from opposite directions, one out of the old Pac-12 after that league came apart, the other a long-standing eastern outpost that has been making the trip west since 2012. Thanksgiving weekend, a 9 PM ET kickoff, and a Wynwood patio in shirtsleeves while the mountains sit behind the stadium.

Rice-Eccles Stadium sits at roughly 4,600 feet with the Wasatch Range framing the upper deck, and it has long been one of the harder late-season road trips in the conference. Utah built its reputation on physical, defense-first football through its Mountain West and Pac-12 years before joining the Big 12. West Virginia carries Appalachian identity into every league it has belonged to, with a traveling fan base that treats road games as a pilgrimage. The Covered “Miami Vice” Patio & The Yard

Spacious. Vibrant. Pure Miami. The covered Miami Vice patio seats up to 120 across multiple table configurations and has its own patio bar, with TVs angled for visibility from every seat. The Yard sits adjacent under a giant tent with a projector screen for the major game. Hookah service runs all evening on the patio.

The color palette pulls straight from Miami Vice: pinks, teals, neon accents. The patio walls flow with rotating mural work that fits Wynwood’s art-district vibe.

Yes, you really do drink it from a Jordan-inspired sneaker. The Grails sneaker cocktail is our most-photographed creation, equal parts conversation piece and craft cocktail. It’s been featured in local press, racked up millions of Instagram impressions, and is now a Wynwood rite of passage.

We had such a great experience, and a huge part of that was our server, Austin! He was genuinely one of the best servers I’ve had in a long time. He was incredibly attentive super kind, personable, and so easy to talk to. He checked in at all the right times, made sure we had everything we needed, and just had such a great energy throughout the entire experience. It’s rare to have a server who makes you feel like they actually care that you’re having a good time, and Austin absolutely did. He made us feel so welcome and turned an already fun outing into an even better one. Truly 12/10 service.
