The Story

A restaurant, a sports bar, and a sneaker you take home.

Grails opened in 2019 as the first sports bar in Wynwood, Miami. The corner building at 2800 N Miami Ave sits two blocks from Wynwood Walls and the city's most-photographed exterior murals, on a block surrounded by galleries and the rotating murals of the Wynwood Arts District. Six years later, Grails is the most-awarded sports bar in Miami, named Best Sports Bar in Miami by Miami New Times in 2020, 2022, and 2025.

Grails occupies a visual and cultural lane no other Miami venue does. The signature object is the Sneaker Vessel, a hand-painted ceramic cup inspired by the Air Jordan 1, served in three sizes. The Holy Grail 1 is the 20-ounce shareable for groups, drunk through straws bristling from the laces; the Holy Grail 1 is a group cup and stays at the bar. The Sneaker Cup is a cocktail-sized sneaker built for one drink, and it is yours to take home. The Sneaker Shot is shot-glass-sized, the smallest of the family, also yours to take home. Every size is hand-numbered and hand-lettered, and each colorway retires permanently when its run sells out, the same way Jordan retired the Bred 1 and the Chicago 1. The Sneaker Vessel is the most-photographed object in the room, after the rare-sneaker wall behind the booths.

Wide interior view of the Sneaker Lounge at Grails Miami, with red tufted leather banquette seating beneath a row of flat-screen televisions and rare collectible sneakers displayed along the wall behind.

Inside, the venue runs three distinct rooms that combine for up to 300 guests on full-venue private bookings, and all three run together every night as part of the regular bar. The Sneaker Lounge is the proper indoor room, the largest bar in the venue under a wall of rare collectible sneakers and red tufted booths. The covered Miami Vice Patio is lit in magenta and teal, with hookah, table games, and its own patio bar. The Yard is covered by a giant tent with a giant projector screen for the major game, with hookah on the patio side and an open-feeling crowd around the screen. 75+ TVs cover every seat of the venue, and the sound goes on for every major game across leagues, from the Premier League and La Liga to the NFL, NBA, NHL, MLB, UFC, and the FIFA World Cup.

Grails is family-friendly at any hour, with kids of all ages welcome any time, a rare position in Miami nightlife. The crowd is bilingual, the staff speak English and Spanish, and there is no cover charge ever. The venue has been covered by Miami New Times, USA Today 10Best, Thrillist, The Infatuation, Eater Miami, and CBS News Miami, and carries 4.7 stars across 3,200+ Google reviews, plus 4.8 stars on TripAdvisor and 4.4 stars on Yelp.

The Rooms

Three rooms. One Grails.

Each room has its own personality, its own crowd, and its own role on game night. All three run together every night as part of the regular bar.

Indoor · 80 Guests

The indoor lounge under a wall of rare collectibles.

The Sneaker Lounge is the only proper indoor room at Grails and the visual heart of the venue. The longest bar in the room runs the length of one wall, with the rare-sneaker collectible wall, hand-numbered and curated, displayed behind the red tufted leather banquettes. TVs cover every sightline. The room reads at once like a serious restaurant, a sports bar, and a sneaker gallery.

Capacity is 80 guests. The Sneaker Lounge is part of the regular bar every night, and the same room is also bookable end-to-end for private events, buyouts, corporate dinners, and press dinners, with custom A/V routing through the venue's in-house sound system. It is where Grails serves its biggest table dinners, its longest cocktail program, and the rare-collectible wall guests photograph the most.

Covered Patio · 120 Guests

A covered patio lit in magenta and teal.

The Miami Vice Patio is Grails' largest single space and the room most photographed by guests after the Sneaker Lounge wall. The roof is covered, not open, so the room stays comfortable through Miami summer heat and the occasional afternoon storm. The palette is magenta and teal, the lighting drops at night, and a second full bar runs along the back wall. Hookah service operates after dark.

Capacity is 120 guests, the largest of the three rooms. TVs span every sightline, sound goes on for the major game of the night, and table games (cornhole, oversized Connect Four) keep the patio loose between innings. The Miami Vice Patio handles bachelorette parties, birthday dinners, viewing parties, and any group that wants a Wynwood patio feel without trading away the comfort of a covered roof.

Tent + Projector · 100 Guests

A tented yard with a giant projector screen.

The Yard is the largest open-feeling room at Grails and the only one with a giant projector screen. A giant tent covers the room end to end, with a giant screen at one end carrying the major game of the night. Hookah service operates after dark. The tent stays up year-round, which means the room runs as part of the regular bar every night, not a fair-weather space.

The Yard's 100 guests run as part of the regular bar every night. The same room can also be booked end-to-end for private events and full-buyout watch parties, where the projector screen and the Yard's own sound system can be dedicated to a single feed: the title fight, the Game 7, the World Cup final, the brand activation, the wedding rehearsal slideshow. The Yard is the room Grails uses when one screen has to be the centerpiece.

The Signature

The Sneaker Vessel. A cocktail in a sneaker, in three sizes.

The Holy Grail 1 shareable Sneaker Vessel cocktail at Grails Miami Wynwood, a 20-ounce hand-painted ceramic Air Jordan 1 high-top cocktail vessel with straws bristling from the laces.

Display of multiple retired colorways of the ceramic Sneaker Cocktail Vessel at Grails Miami Wynwood, hand-painted Air Jordan 1 inspired cocktail cups in different limited-edition colorways.

The Grails cocktail program orbits around the Sneaker Vessel, a hand-painted ceramic cup modeled after the Air Jordan 1 high-top. It is served in three sizes. The Holy Grail 1 is the 20-ounce shareable for groups up to 12, drunk through straws bristling from the laces, the showstopper of the program. The Sneaker Cup is a cocktail-sized sneaker built for one drink. The Sneaker Shot is shot-glass-sized, the smallest of the family.

The Sneaker Cup and the Sneaker Shot are yours to take home, hand-painted Miami souvenirs that fit in a carry-on. The 20-ounce shareable Holy Grail 1 stays at the bar, since it is a group cup built to come back to the program night after night. Every size is hand-numbered and hand-lettered with "Grails for Wynwood, Holy Grail 1, Miami, FL USA, c. 2019," and each colorway retires for good when its run sells out. When the Chicago colorway is gone, it is gone.

The Sneaker Vessel is Grails' most-photographed object. Visitors come specifically for the program, drink from one of the three sizes, and leave with their Sneaker Cup or their Sneaker Shot tucked carefully into a takeaway bag.

Not every collectible needs an explanation. The Sneaker Vessel is Grails' contribution to Miami's design language, a Wynwood object that has spread to Instagram, gallery dinners, bachelorette tables, and bachelor-party group toasts across the city.

If you have one stop on a Wynwood night, it is the Sneaker Vessel program. Order a Holy Grail 1 for the table. Order a Sneaker Cup or a Sneaker Shot for yourself. Photograph it. Carry the small one home.

On the Screens

Every league, every major game, on 75+ TVs.

Grails carries the full year of major American and international sports. The room only has one audio track at a time, so the marquee game gets the sound. Concurrent games run on the 75+ TVs across the Sneaker Lounge, the Miami Vice Patio, and The Yard. There is no cover charge for any of it.

The Bar and the Kitchen

Hand-crafted, shareable, built for the table.

From the bar.

Hand-crafted cocktails, local craft beer on tap, a deep tequila and mezcal shelf, and the signature Sneaker Vessel program in three sizes. The 20-ounce shareable Holy Grail 1 is the centerpiece (it stays at the bar). The Sneaker Cup is a cocktail-sized sneaker built for one drink, and the Sneaker Shot is the shot-glass version; both are yours to take home, hand-painted and hand-numbered.

From the kitchen.

The kitchen runs shareable plates and group-sized platters built for tables watching the game together, not individual entrees served in courses. Burgers, smash sliders, sweet-potato fries, wings, ceviche, tacos, and seasonal specials. Full menu through closing every night.
